Painful experience for Jarrett

I was playing on the sofa, I lost my balance & fell off from the back rest of the sofa. My arm hurts badly & the pain did not go away. I can't lift my arm either. So daddy & mummy immediately brought me to NUH A&E & get a doc to check on my arm.

They wanted to place my arm correctly for an X-tray. But was too painful. So they gave painkiller to lessen the pain & took another round of X-tray. Not long later, they informed that I have broke the thin bone on the upper part of my right arm & might need an operation. I was asked to get warded & wait for it.

In the room many doctors came to check on me & also insert a needle into my hand. Mummy say is for drip. It was also very painful & I hate it. Everytime I wanted to sleep, there'll be pain from my arm or jabs given that I didn't want to sleep anymore. But I was very tired & fell asleep at 4am.

Next morning everything is better until afternoon a nurse came in to change me into a fishy gown & bring me down to a room full of machines. It was scary as there were many people wearing green gowns & want to place things onto me. Not long later I fell asleep & awake feeling heavy on my head & daddy & mommy were not with me. After they came & nurses push me back to my room.

Doctor told daddy that my arm did not break badly so only place the bone back in position & cast it. If it did not go well they'll then need to place pin into my arm to fix it. I hope that won't happen.

After several docs came to check on me & allow daddy & mummy to give me food, I feel much happier!! I enjoy the red bean bun & my dinner!! Since everything is going well for me, doctor told daddy I can go home!! Yipee!!!

The pain came again when I need to change to my home clothings...It was very painful to lift up my arm!! I cried really loud & hope they stop. I also had problem walking, I tripped a couple of time...maybe I have been in bed for too long?? They decided to carry me instead.

Once home, they quickly make a comfy bed for me to rest in & not long later I fell asleep......

I know my mistake I promise daddy & mummy I will not do it again..it's a painful mistake...not worth going thru again.

Spending Mooncake festival at home

Mon afternoon, sch called mom & told her that they suspect that I got HFMD.
I might got it from another toddler as that toddler's family called to inform them that their child got it.
So last nite they brought me to the doc & he confirmed that I have contacted it.
Today my mouth hurts & I am running high fever too.
Even if mom has set up my fav Thomas & friends blue track I was not in the mood to play them.
I spend most of my time watching TV & napping.
To cheer me up, they decided to celebrate the Mooncake festival a day earlier.
They fix up Thomas lantern & wanted to play them in the dark with me, but I was too scare so I just have it with me while I have my mooncakes & a piglet cake.
After the snack I brought Thomas to be my bedside lamp & keep my company.

Mummy Liz came back from Aust to visit her family. So she also arranged a play date for me to meet with her nephew Truman who is a day younger than me & niece Sonya at their home.

I enjoy so much that I wanted to bring Truman home with me! hehehee

Brave Jarrett overcomes the fear of trimming his hair!

I was terrified when mummy & daddy suggest that I get a hair cut. I hate the sound of the clipper & also the hair poking me.
But they planned alot of snacks & programs to treat me after the cut.

Went for the kite festival organise by NTUC incoming & a walk at Chinatown to take a look at their lantern displays. A sky full of kites in such a small district area among the tall buildings are really amazing..hmm...that reminds me of Singapore!! A small city but high population!!Mummy was so fansinated by the sky full of kites that she hardly take pics of me... XP

Sorry for away for so long,

things weren't very smooth for me last mth.

I was down with viral infection of terrible cough...after that I caught HFMD after an outdoor event at sch on that very weekend.

During this time, Granny came & took care of me. The first few days were very difficult for me...the uclers in my mouth makes me loose my appetite & temper too.

I was super grouchy & cried alot. Mummy & daddy felt painful for me. They gave in to me due to my pain & pray hard that I recover soon.

Although I only had fever during the first day & recovered from my ucler after a week, but it took me 3weeks to recover instead!

Doc say kids that has sensetive skin took longer time than usual to recover from the rashes..... =(

Nevertheless, let me fill you in of things I know now!

Mummy & daddy is very proud of my progress.

I have improved from single words to a sentences!!

Here are a small list of sentences that they often hear me say.

Here are things that I have improve which mummy wants to share with you;

Enjoys make up short stories of Thomas train & his friends

No problem with drinking from cup or bottle without straw.

Show interest in cooking. Can't wait to buy a toy cooking set for him to play with.

Just taken his first ice-cream a min scoop one last Sun.

He was able to eat it without dirty himself, finished the ice- cream cone himself

Fav cartoon character are Thomas train, Bob Builder & Mickey.

Also saw him watching warplanes, F1 car race, Man vs Wild with 100% concentration.

enjoys singing & dancing to any nursery rhymes

placing care/trains into a line neatly

loves playing with many other children.

I started attending childcare

Mummy say it's time I mix around with other children & attend school.

My first visit there, I had fun!
There are many other toys that I don't have it at home.
But the thing I don't like is mummy can't stay & play with me.

The first mth, granny & mummy took turns to help me adjust to sch.

Second mth, things are going smoother & mummy has to start to adjust handling it all by herself as granny has moved back home.

The teachers there are all very nice to me.
Someday mummy will take pics of the teachers & post them here.
They are patient & really put in effort to make me feel comfy.

after being with the sch for almost 2mths, I am able to cope being in sch for almost 12hrs. She has to leave me at sch around 7.15am & come pick me around 6:30pm. Mummy feels bad, so she'll rush home to pick me up as early as possible. At times daddy will come pick me or granny come pick me earlier to stay over at her place for the weekend! She still miss me bothering her..heehehehee

Where did I go on my birthday?

Recently as you can see, I have been to many places. So mummy & daddy had a headache where to bring me. They decided to let me play at the Science Center's water playground. But it was not open that day. So we went Science center instead.

Yes, a 2yrs old lad enter Science center on his birthday. It's a place that is too young for me! hahahaa...Nevertheless, I still got to enjoy myself there.

They found Da Vinci exhibit there...since this could be the only chance to see...they bought enterance tickets for it. (entry without Da Vinci was $6 for adults)

I get to explore some inventions that this great guy did. His life is amazing.

Sorry no pics of it cos we aren't allow to take once we enter the hall...so this is all we took.

Mostly are in videos...so be patient....mummy had just finish uploading pics of the past mths..so she'll also upload the videos of the past mths before she gets to upload videos of my adventure in the Science Center. So stay tune!!!

My Chinese New Year

This is my 2nd Chinese New Year I have celebrated!
Here are some pics mummy captured.
I also helped daddy get the mandrain oranges ready for New year!
This year I also get to join in the reunion dinner with everyone!
I enjoy eating with everyone!
I also know how to do Gong Xi gong xi to everyone!
This red Kung Fu outfit was too big for me last year, this year I can wear it! Many say I look good in it!

I not only go visitng, I also get to take a ride on the Singapore Flyers again! We got the tickets from Aunt Pat. She brought a group of elderly uncle & aunties there. This time round I am a little older than before, I actually know what is going on & I enjoy exploring the whole capsule too. I point to them things I know, pull mummy & show her things I spotted.

During end of Dec, mummy & daddy arranged for a chalet to gather around mummy's & daddy's family & relatives to come for a BBQ on 31/Dec'08 & 1/Jan'09. I had a great time playing in the pool & the indoor playground The Explorer!

On 4th Jan'09, it was my fav uncle Michael & aunt Karen's wedding. Look how happy I am for them!!

Last week there were this big Crocs sales at the Expo.

Mummy & granny has always been eyeing to get a pair for me. But the price are pretty steep. So they never have the heart to buy it for me.

At the after we got there, the Q for payment was already very long. So mummy asked granny to Q-up while she shop around for the shoes. Quickly mummy pick shoes for herself, then proceed to mine..there aren't many for boys (as usual) so she pick a common pair for me. After that she went to pick a pair for daddy, granny & grandpa since she like their support. It protects our heels very well. Altogether she picked 6pairs of shoes!!

She also bought the buttons to put on the shoes. She got my fav, balls!!!

After putting them on, she wanted to try it on my feet. I refused! I kicked & cried (look at these pics they are all with tears) These are not shoes! They are toys!! She can only wish I'll put them on during Chinese New Year....

My trial lesson at Tumble Tots

Mummy arranged another class for me at Tumble Tots.

This time round the class is spacious. There were 3 trainers there.

We were given 10mins to gather around & let the kids play with the obstacles.

When the class start, we are to sit together in a circle to sing & dance.

While doing the obstacles, each trainer were station at each course & guide us thru it or assist us when we meet any trouble.

They are friendly & careful with us too.

They also provide other options during each course.

I had a great time there!

Will I be participating the class in future??

We shall wait & see!

P.S: Sorry for not having any pics this time round cos mummy is too busy bringing me around the course & this time round daddy join in too!

My first steamboat!

Hello everyone!!
Guess what?

Now I can join mummy & daddy for steamboat!!

Mine are at the side, with a big bowl of soup with ingredients & my soup with rice.

Mummy prepare my soup using their chicken stock. (no salt or other seasoning included.) After that add broccoli, fishball, carrot & chicken filet into the soup & boil a small pot for me.

Doesn't it look tasty? I love it! I've finally get the chance to eat together with them!!

Mummy arranged with Grandpa, granny, aunt Sharon, G-aunt Janice & Pat to join us at Vivocity.
Mummy wants to let me have some fun time in the water again. I love the water remember?

We arrived there in the afternoon. It was raining, So we waited till the rain stopped. They brought me to the mini swimming pool.

I had a fun time kicking the water & marching on it!
When I just got warmed up, it started drizzling again. We have to cut short & quickly went into the shopping mall.

Outside a restaurant there was this aquariam which is at my height! I was given the chance to walk around & had fun watching the fishes I scream in delight!
I share my joy with the ppl whom are also watching the fishes in the tank. I even show them my sign of fish! (clap his hand together, point it to the front & sway it side to side)

Everyone wanted me to have a good time. So they suggeste to go Toy R'us where there are plenty of toys for me to play. It's like a big playground for me too!

I had alot of fun time there! I had so much fun till I forgotten my dinner until mummy asked if I wanted. I scream for it! hahahahaa

Lastly, Happy Hallowen!!!

My day at Gymboree

This is my first time I attend a lesson. It was at Gymboree Harbour Front.
Mummy sign me up for their level 3 trial lesson meant for 10mth~16mths babies.
It was say to encourage discovery, balance and coordination as parents learn to understand how their child interacts and communicates with them and the world.

To me it was fun time! I have a big playground to play with!
There were alot of toys & balls too!

I was not scare of climbing up the steps/slope or even crawl into the little tunnel! She is glad that I did not snatch other babies toys or mind that my toy has to give to others. She is proud that I am able to complete the task asked & not scare of the tunnel nor the crowd.

During the class I love the bubble session most! mummy has taught me to blurst bubbles during bath time. When I see it there I also point to burst it too!

Not even when they cover us with a big cloth & bring it up & down. I love the colorful cloth over me!

I was so engross in playing I did not listen to what the trainer wants. All I want is play what I like. Mummy has to keep up with me. I kept crawling & walking away from her when everyone is sitting in circle, she is really not happy that I can't stay still even for a sec. She wonders why I can't stay still when others can.

After the class, the trainer told us that I have performed even better than this level & suggest mummy to let me try a higher level instead. Cos this level seems too boring for me, thats why I was not interested in the trainer at all.

This new level is to figure out how the world works and become a competent problem solver through games that uncover patterns and sequences.
She feels that this level is too tough for me as I am not good with pattern & sequences yet. Will I pay attention to instructions? Since now when she is playing with me I don't even listen to her instructions. I enjoy to explore it myself.

On top of this, she has doubts about my safety during the lesson. When I walked away from her there were no one watching out for me or stop me when shes trying to catch up with me. Not even the parents there help each other watch out too. All were to themselves. If mummy is not able to catch up with me, there's a possibility if I trip and fall & no one is there to prevent it from happening.

Next week I'll be attending another trial lesson from Tumble Tots. She hope it'll be better.

Last weekend, mummy brought me for my chicken pox jab. Doc Jo-lin also went thru an accessment with me.

I am now 80cm tall & 11.2kg!
My height & weight is 90% above average baby.

I enjoy talking, I yap yap yap alot..hehehee

I am learning to walk now. If you hold me I'll walk very fast!

Doc Jo-lin has always been very concern with my weight cos I am on the BIG side. But today she say she is very happy with my progress!

I am a 100% healthy baby!

Mummy checked & found out that I can eat all types of vegs now! What vegs did you eat when you were 1yr old?
She also said that I can't have chicken until I am 3yrs old....did you wait till you are 3yrs old before you get to taste chicken?

While mummy & daddy were away for their honeymoon.

Grandpa & Granny brought me swimming! I love it!!

Next I follow them for a Cancer for Children charity. We all got our hair shaved! When mummy met up with her old schoolmate, we also found out that Uncle Boon Tiong also when for this charity! See the two botak pics..hehehehe.

Last Sat daddy & mummy brought me for a birthday gift shopping spree! I had a great time at a giant toy shop selecting my toys! I get to test them before deciding which to buy. I had alot of fun there!

The follow days have two mini parties! One from daddy's family & the other from mummy's family. Daddy's brother, Eldest Uncle Howard & kor kor Heng Wei gave me a bucket with coin incest, spade & net. 3rd Uncle Michael & Aunt Karen gave me Elmo!

Xiao E bought me a mini bus, grandpa & granny gave me Disney cake! GrandAunt Pat bought me a set of Batman outfit. I love all my presents! Thanks everyone!

My day at Uncle David's house

We were there for a Father's Day gathering. Too bad daddy isn't here to join us....Or he'll be in this picture too. Nevertheless, Happy Father's Day daddy & grandpa!

At their place, GAunt Anna packed up all Uncle Eugene's toys for me. She said these toys were all passed down from Uncle Gary's generation. So which means the toys are already 28yrs old! They are still in good conditions. I like them!

Because I haven't met them since after Chinese New Year, everyone offer to carry & play with me. Mummy say she enjoy this the most cos she gets to rest...granny too!

Last week we went Suntec for a book fair. Mummy wants to get me more books. They managed to buy 2 books & a float book too. After that they had dinner & proceed to Carefour to buy some stuffs.

And we saw this huge bunny!! Mum & granpda was abit worried that I'll be frighten by it. But instead I like it alot & keep smiling at it! So whenever I see it passing by I insisted that grandpa carry me to it Below pic taken was the 2nd time I saw it.

Kung Fu Panda

I have this story book Aunt Sharon bought me since I was 3mths old. There are Panda Bear, Hippo, Elephant & Tigers. Granny & mummy always read them to me. So as time passes by I recognise them.

When this movie launched, they show me pics of it in the magazine.

Somehow I get very excited when I see it!!

So grandpa bought me 2 sets of Kunfu Panda outfits & mummy took the picture tag at the tee & paste them on my drawers!

Now when they ask where is panda I'll point it to them! Mummy is now looking around for other stickers to paste them on my drawers.

Mmmy has to stay home to take care of me because daddy is away at Swiss for training & granny & grandpa goes for a short trip at Phuket to enjoy the sea breeze for a week. Which means I'll be home with her for 24/7!! Can you believe it??

I doubt she can do very well....She does not spend as much time as granny does with me. Granny knows what I like, she knows my everything!!

Apart from the usual story reading, play with my usual toys..when I am bored with them..she come up with many funny idea to keep me entertained.

She gets Pebble to entertain me...I enjoy watching Pebble play fetch with mummy!!

Well, we know babies aren't suppose to watch TV..but she has to eat..she has to cook my meals. It just bored watching her hang out the clothings...do the cookings..it's warm in the kitchen you know! So there are times she'll put me at my chair & let me watch a little TV. I do look I am concentrating on the show huh!

I also gets to play catching with Pebble!! She'll run & I'll chase...hehehee.

Yuki totally hide away from me once she sees me in the walker...She hates playing chase..She likes to steal my biscuits when I drop them..hehe

Mummy has also started to let me crawl out of my usual bedroom. She'll always clean up the floor before she lets me down to crawl. I have a few bumps time to time. All because I have never crawl on the floor before. Most of the time are on my well protected bed. Even when I fall, there's always cushion around me. So now...on the floor...although she is there, sometimes her flection is slower & I knocked myself against the table & chairs..or even the floor too. Even though I meet these accidents, I still enjoy the fun time exploring the house! After each crawling session she'll clean up my hands & legs.

Daddy & mummy's "Labour" day

1st of May is Labour Day, it's a holiday meant for working people. They get to have a day off today! Mummy & daddy do not need to go to work! But it's not any usual labour day they had. They plan to stay home.....why? you may ask...well....to do labour work! hahahahaaa

Recently weather has been very hot. I didn't sleep well at nite even if they have the fan full blast in the room for me. They wanted to let me have the air-con. But the air-con in my room is out of order. After some checking they realised that it's pretty costly to get it repair. And since in another yr or two, they'll change the whole set too. So what can they do for now? They switch room for me!

Now I have a gate to my room. I'll get a space of my own to crawl around. Because I have 2 pet dogs Pebble & Yuki, we have to share space to crawl..hehehehe

Partly mummy also worried that I'll go chase after them & hurt myself or they'll come sniff me all over...hehehe

Now my new room done & very well "protected"....No chance for any accident to happen anymore...hahahahaa

cos grandpapa came & pick granny & me out to have fun!

Grandpapa brought me to the Discovery Center & the goat farm. I had fun! I love the goats! I talk to them like I talk to Pebble & Yuki! Grandpapa never bring his camera along. So there's no pics to share this time round...

Granny say I didn't sleep well during the first nite in my new room....I turn & turn.....but 2nd nite I am fine! I crawl & play with mummy till am tired before I doze off....I like the feeling of having the air-con on. It feels more comfy....

I can't resist myself!! Altough mummy bought me teething toys, but I prefer other things! Luckily granny is more forgiving..she say it's not my fault I am still a baby...

Because there'll be more tooths coming, she bought baby toothpaste for me. She wants to start it now. she was told that it tast yummy. So she want me to play with the toothbrush. Make it a fun time for me. So that with this fun time I'll love to brush my teeth! But granny isn't comfortable with it. She still prefers to start in when I am a yr old...

Now I am going 10mths...I have learnt more things!!

Apart from knowing how to crawl, now I also know how to clap my hands, pray pray, bye bye, action for hello (pick up phone), switch biscuits from hand to hand, how to say mum mum (eat).

I know duck, bird, elephant, sound of areoplane, ball, my coco monkey, what is switch & buttons!! But I don't say it out..I just show them or look at it.

Mummy has start to borrow books from the library to read them to me. I enjoy books that have something to flip or touch!! At times I'll pick up books & want mummy to read them to me. One shot will also want all 4books! hahahaa

Lately, I know how to stand up by myself! But with some support. hehehe

I did a great job didn't I??

Spotted a bruise on the right side of my head?? Well, I hurt it while I was crawling around in the room...It hurts alot!! I cried very loudly. While granny was applying medicine on me she cried too. But that's not going to stop me from crawling or exploring...She say I am driving her nuts..hehehe

Now a days I don't like being carried unless it's fun. I love them throwing me up in the air, swing me or walk me around the house...

Since I am learning to stand, the more I like them to just let me be. I want to move around by myself! I'll crawl towards the chair, or anything & try to stand up by myself.

Granny says I am tiring her out with all these activities I want...I wish I could learn to walk soon! then she won't have to be so tired watching me out or hold me while I crawl, stand or wobbling...hehehe

Maybe she should drink my milk, she'll have strong bones like me!!

Mummy freak out when she see my waredrobe is full of white mould...

"Disgusting!! Gross! Why like that!?" She said. Quickly she took out all the clothings & throw them into the machine & wash wash wash....

Now we have a whole load of clothings out the window sun tanning... they don't know what is the cause of it...they plan to either fix this or get a new woredrobe... Looks like I have alot of clothings...

Well, it's not the first already..my first show up when I was almost 8mths old & this 2nd tooth came only 2weeks ago. Now then they managed to capture it.

well, why so late? Cos she say the first tooth was too tiny...not easy to take.

Yesterday we went to Marina Square & daddy show me lots of fish!! It's actually my 2nd time there. Why mummy only took pics this time, cos the first time I only stare at them. This time...see the pics & you'll know!

Mummy say there used to be such aquarium at another shopping center which is much bigger than this & they have sharks & sting ray in there too! But now it's no longer there. They have shifted the fishes to a much much bigger one at Sentosa. I wonder where is that.....

This place where they keep those fishes, mummy say will bring me there one day. Now that place is dusty & messy....I hope I don't have to wait too long.

Grandpa bought me a high chair! I love it! I enjoy sitting in it cos I will be able to view what granny is doing in the kitchen. How does mummy wash her face in the morning. No more looking up from my walker!

Hmmmm....i love this chair!!! I am not going to leave! You guys can go shopping without me. I am going to stay home with my chair!! Cos I can see out of the window now!

Mooooo.....I am sitting on a Moo-cycle daddy found it at a corner of Robinson toddler corner..I had fun sitting on it. I am sure I'll be able to ride on it & chase after Pebble & Yuki if they buy it home. Weee weee!!!

Look what notti daddy did to me?? He want Barney to bite me!! This giant Barney is just as big as me! I don't like him...I am not interested in him at all. I rather go play something else...

Do you know why mummy took such close up photo of me?? Cos it's the first time she sees me in such perfect double eye lid on both of my eyes! She took many pics of me!!

I am so handsome who needs those double eye lids?!?! Mummy say it makes me even more handsome! That can be accepted...I'll let it stay with me for awhile longer then.

Do you know another good thing about having a high chair?? It's that I am able to feed my dogs!!

Here is what I am going to do....when it stick in my plam, I'll drop them...then Pebble comes along to pick it up!! I enjoy sharing my biscuits with them.

I am in a mess! I don't mind Pebble come clean me up since she always help clean up Yuki's bowl. But mummy won't allow...

Mummy want me to tell Pebble & Yuki's furkids friends, not to worry. She hasn't forgotten them. She also did put them in her office too! It's in her screen saver! We are all her darlings!

My first baby contest

This is my first time I enter a baby contest! They enter me into healthy baby, photogenic & daddy & baby chemisty contest. All 3!! daddy says because I am their perfect baby so they have confident in me. Everyone were very excited for me. Mummy dress me up similar to daddy for the baby & daddy chemistry contest too! I am all ready to face the big challenge!

It's more like every day. I enjoy the company & make some friends too!

At the end of the contest, I didn't win any..Daddy & mummy wonder why..Mummy says even we didn't win any, it's fine. Cos I am still their darling.
Mummy is not very keen on taking part in any contest anymore. She say she'll will disappointed that they did not spot the good in me. But daddy seems very keen with it! Now he's looking out for photo contest to take part in.

Uncle Howard (Heng Wei kor kor's father & is also daddy's elder brother) has some free tickets so we all go together & visit the zoo!

Daddy sings:"We are going to the zoo, there's lots of things to do. And there'll be many people too!"

Most of the animals there are very new to me. But I recognise Elephant!! Cos granny & mummy always read mini book of Elephant to me.

Although I often suck my toes, hoping one to come along soon to play with me, but it not mean me going to have any silblings.

Mummy say she is not ready for another round of mid nite feedings & colic cryings.She blames me for the cause of this phobia, I am sure I am not the reason. Cos she complains about her weight often than to my colic issues!!

She has only herself to blame for feasting too much. If those weight stay put, I doubt she'll want another to add extra weight on her again.

Anyway, back to the actual topic I want to tell.

Many of daddy & mummy friends' babies will be born in May.
On which date they are not sure...

1st: Cousin Heng Wei kor kor is going to have a baby mei mei in May! That means I'll be kor kor too!

2nd: Mummy's friend, Aunt Esther's baby will also be coming in May

3rd: Mummy's friend, Aunt Cassandra is going to have her 2nd baby in May too!

4th: Mummy's friend, Uncle Alex is going to have his 2nd baby due in May!!

5th: Daddy's friend, Uncle Wen Hong's baby will be born in May!

Previously grandpa brought over their double decker bed for me so that placing it side be side I have a big space to roll & crawl. You may ask, why I can't crawl on the floor. It's becos I have 2 pet dogs. Mummy says I can do that when I finish all my Pneumococcal Disease jabs. So I crawl around beds!! Which is the size of two super single bed!!

It looks very big isn't it?

On top of that, this morning da puo brought over Heng Wei kor kor's play pan for me! Daddy fix it up while I was in the room playing & rolling. I am also starting to learn how to crawl too.

Once it's done, daddy place all my toys in & let me get use to this new play area.

This will be my 2nd play ground!

Daddy says this will help them alot, cos when they have chores to do, I can stay in there to play & keep myself occupied while they get their things done. But do they think I like to stay in there long? Well, it's see!

Granny says when mummy was young grandpa make something similar for her too. It's meant to protect her from danger. So granny wants mummy to make one for me too.

It comes with seven colours. White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue & Black. She has to chant during each knot she do. After that granny pray this to the Godness of Mercy to give me protection.

They loves me lots so they want me to be healthy & save. It look cool on me, Don't you think?

Since Chinese New Year is over. Mummy & daddy decided to open a bank acct for me & save up all the Ang Bao I collected in there.

A morning without my cradle

What happened was mummy took my cradle to wash last nite. All because she finds it smell of my pee pee. Well, you can't blame me, I wore napkin in the day! Blame it on her lousy napkin protectors...

Anyway, due to bad weather, the cradle did not dry up in time for my morning nap. My routine has been messed up by her. I have my rountine to follow. I sleep in my cradle during the day time. So without it I can't sleep!

Mummy & daddy try means & ways to pat me to sleep in my bed, but I just couldnt find a corrrect position to sleep! I got grumby...but yet I don't want to sleep in the bed. So daddy just hold on to me. Look how sleepy I am?

Mummy feels at this rate I should be able to sleep in the bed. It took her awhile to sooth me to sleep...So I'll only fall asleep in my bed when I looked that sleepy.

While mummy keep a close watch on me, daddy went to dry my cradle with the hair dryer. It helps! 10mins later it's all done & ready for me!

My nap on the bed didn't last long. Since it's already noon, mummy decided to feed me my porridge first before letting me sleep in my cradle.

Finally now I'll have a proper nap...ZzzZzzZzz

Friends at home, make sure your mummy pick a correct time to wash the cradle. Or you'll end up so tired like me....

What did I do for the rest of the New year 2008??

We celebrate Chinese New Year for 15 days. So how am I spending it??

The 2nd day of the new year (8/Feb) daddy was too sick to go out. So all of us stay home while daddy have a good rest.

Now I enjoy rolling around while sleeping, I need more space to sleep. So daddy has been kick out of the room by me..hehehehee...so now their bed is mine when granny goes back home. While I was playing on the bed, mummy took a few pics of me! Now I can sit well!

3rd day (9/Feb) of Chinese New Year, mummy brought me to her friend Cynthia's house for their house warming. But was not able to take a pics of me cos she was busy taking care of me. There were alot of kids there! I love watching them play.

Maybe becos of daddy, I also started to have runny nose. Mummy worried that I'll spread my runny nose to those kor kor & jie jie there, so we left pretty early. Once I got home, they take my tempreture. There weren't any fever on me. After my milk, mummy let me sleep first cos I am starting to feel really grumpy. Once I have a good nap, I feel much better. Mummy then apply Vicks on me. she say I need a good rest & lots of water.

4th day (10/Feb) of New Year, daddy is going to have tea with his guy friends, so before meeting them, we went for lunch at Mos burger. Mummy say now I can sit better she place me at their baby chair.

Although it suit me, I didn't like it there...that's why I gave her this look...I want out!!

I still feel better standing on daddy's lap!

See! I am taller than (sitted) daddy!! hahahahaa

After their lunch, we went over to granny's place. Cos granny say we might go visit her friends. In the end we didn't go cos her friends aren't at home. So we stayed at granny's place for the rest of the day.

5th day of New Year, mummy & daddy do not need to go to work, so we went Bugis Junction! Mummy's purpose of going there is to check out their new food outlets at their basement & also help me get glass milk bottles. Cos there's a report saying the plastic bottles aren't that good. Price aren't cheap either! It cost $17.20 each! Hope no one will drop it. It's 60% more expensive than the usual plastic ones. To be safe than sorry, glass bottles are better.

for the next few days daddy & mummy already start work. So I spend my days with granny like the usual days.

On the 10th day (16/Feb) of New Year, we'll be going to granny's place again! Cos her siblings are going to gather there. We are going there early to Pai Nian! This seems like the last stop for us this new year!!

Although, we celebrate Chinese New Year for 15days, cos they don't have this practice. So usually it's only for a few days. Mostly is to visit relatives & close friends.

When we reached granny's place, I have my 2 uncles to play with me with my fav toy white tiger & Ernie!

Next stop was to daddy's aunt's place, which is my grandaunt's place! There were alot of uncles & aunts...because this is the first time they met me after my baby shower 5mths ago, so many took turns to carry me & play with me!

There were also Jie Jie Ayaka, yoyo & kor kor Kai kai & Heng wei...I can't wait to grow up faster so that I can play along with them too!

Then we proceed to mummy's mum's place, granny's place at Bt Merah. Since Great grand granny also stays near by so we went to pay her a visit too.

After returning from great grand granny's place, many grand uncles & grand aunts had arrived at granny's place. I needed a nap, so granny took me into her room to rest. But there were many ppl coming in to visit me & play with me, I didn't want to sleep at all.

When grand uncle Ken carried me, mummy spotted something similar that both of us have. The Beckham hair style! We both looked cool huh!

What a nite, once in the car I slept thru out the whole journey home...Maybe I played too much, I had a nitemare & I cried for mummy. It took mummy quite awhile to calm me down & lay me to sleep again. I think next time I better think twice about having so much fun.

Last nite, mummy & daddy call me grouchy baby...

When we return home from granny's place, I gave them a hard time. I make alot of noise when daddy was trying to make me sleep. I didn't sleep at all & even cry & cry. Daddy didn't know what to do. So mummy carried me out from the craddle & pat me to sleep on her body. I still grumble abit before I doze off...maybe it's all because mummy hugs me & make me feel safe & comfortable...I can't keep my eyes open any longer..I doze off...

I don't know why, I just don't feel good. I want mummy & daddy to carry..I don't want to sleep in the craddle alone. I want cuddle cuddle..

I am going to pass down my clothings!

Mummy says Aunt Esther will be having a baby boy this May..which means I'll have a playmate didi next time!

Some chinese has this believe that baby who wears pass down clothings will be easier to handle. Clothings that has been used before will feel more comfortable on baby.

Since I have already out grown many outfits, she went to take them out & pack them into a bag for Aunt Esther. There's this whole pile of clothings & one hat full of mittens & botties. A small pile of caps & 2pc of blankets. Hope baby didi will feel warm & loved.

She also found this old cap that I used to wear...now it looks like a cap meant for cold weather! I still look cute in it, don't I?

Auntie Esther says she'll come by tomorrow to collect them for us. Also to pay me a visit too! I'll get to say hi to baby didi!
